You're probably wondering why you would want to work here. Or maybe why you would want to work in the Charlotte real estate industry in general right now. Or why you asked your parents a million times for a pony growing up, and still never got one.
Very deep questions, indeed...
Well, we'll tackle the first two. The whole "pony never showing" thing is best mulled over with a licensed therapist...
Chances are that you are a Realtor that works, or is looking to work, for a big traditional real estate firm in town. You're not alone; Marge Simpson did the same thing when she told Homer she was getting into the real estate biz.
The problem is that the big, traditional real estate firms are hurting; so are their Realtors. This has nothing to do with the firms themselves. They made a ton of money when the banks were lending, home prices were going through the roof, jobs and careers were skyrocketing, and sales were plentiful. But the business model has changed.
Banks are facing more regulation from Congress which is going to force them to tighten their lending standards even further- this means higher down payment AND credit score requirements. And what is happening with regular Joe Home Buyer? He has lost his job as the unemployment rate has risen, has less money to put down, and his credit score has dropped. Banks and consumers are heading in opposite directions and the traditional buy & sell market has dried up and continues to deflate.
Fortunately, the desire is still there- people still want to buy and sell homes. This is the "Land of Opportunity." The American dream of home ownership hasn't faded at all! They still need professional Realtors to show them houses and transact business. But how? Not the traditional way, but through another method. Ever hear of rent-to-own, rent-to-sell, lease option and lease purchase? Do you know you can earn as much working with these tenant-buyers as you can with regular buyers? And there is a large, fast-growing population of "want-to-be" buyers out there? This is a tremendous opportunity to get on the ground floor and learn to supplement (and grow!) your income.
The first position we are hiring for is a Rent-To-Own Buyer Agent to work with these rent-to-own tenants (and your general brokerage leads). Our classes (capped at four Realtors) start the second Monday of every month. Apply for next month's class today!
And with home prices dropping, who else has the cash to buy homes without much help from a bank? And who wants to pick up as many homes as possible while prices are depressed? Investors! We are a property management company that works with investors everyday and is a one-stop shop for them- we identify great investments, help them purchase, manage their homes, and sell them when needed.
The other position we are hiring for is an Investor Buyer Agent to work with our investors to help them identify and purchase new investment homes.
The traditional realty model is broken and won't be fixed for the next year or two (at least!). However, you can still make money and get ahead of the curve by working with the two buyer groups that will be booming over the next few years:

I. Available Position: Rent-To-Own Buyer Agent
Rate: 70% Commission split on sales based on revenue volume
Hours: Varied- 3 weeks of initial training taking place in the office. After that, there is one meeting a week.
Brief Job Description:
Home and rental sales. Work on your (and ours!) existing brokerage leads. Establish a relationship with our existing rent-to-own and rental tenant base and assist them with purchasing homes. Work with our incoming rent-to-own leads and help them find homes for lease purchase. Show homes and close home sales. We are looking for an experienced, licensed Realtor who loves using their expertise to help people in their community realize the American Dream of home ownership.
Requirements:
Independent Self-Starter, College Graduate preferred, Active NC Real Estate License as a Broker, 1+ Years of Sales Experience, Member of the Realtor Association, Conversant with Tempo (Charlotte-area MLS system) and Client Gateway, Reliable Transportation, Valid Drivers License, Enjoy Small Company Environment, Quick Learner, Excellent Phone/E-mail Skills, Likes Working with People from Diverse Backgrounds, Comfortable with New Technology, Positive Attitude, Looking for a Rewarding Career, Strong Ethics, Knowledge of Mortgage/Credit a plus

II. Available Position: Investor Buyer Agent

Hours: Varied & flexible
Brief Job Description:
Work on your existing brokerage leads while working on investment home sales. This includes selling homes with tenants in place, cash-flow properties, high equity properties, HUD properties, and foreclosures. Establish a relationship with our existing property management owner clients and work with them to fulfill their real estate investment goals. Duties also include locating new investor clients (locally and nationally), working with incoming investor leads, establishing investor client relationships, contribute Charlotte-area and investment content on social networking sites (Twitter & Facebook), showing homes, and closing home sales. We are looking for an experienced, licensed Realtor with great people skills who loves real estate investing.
Requirements:
College Graduate preferred, Active NC Real Estate License, 1+ Years of Sales Experience, Knowledge of Real Estate Investments (being able to speak the language- cash flow/equity/holding costs/etc.), Independent Self-Starter, Conversant with Tempo (Charlotte-area MLS system), Member of local real estate investment group (McREIA) or willingness to join and attend monthly meetings, Member of Realtor Association, Enjoy Small Company Environment, Reliable Transportation, Valid Drivers License, Self-Motivated, Quick Learner, Excellent Phone/E-mail Skills, Likes Working with People from Diverse Backgrounds, Comfortable with New Technology, Positive Attitude, Looking for a Rewarding Career, Strong Ethics, Owner of Investment Homes is a plus
